Does PennSTART provide testing services?
No, PennSTART is a nonprofit which provides facilities for users who can conduct testing, training or research on the site, but PennSTART itself does not provide testing services but we do have many partners who do.
Who are PennSTART’s stakeholders/partners/customers?
PennSTART supports emergency responders, transportation technology companies, and research institutions.
Is the site used exclusively designed for testing?
No it is not meant exclusively for testing. PennSTART’s facilities include a high-speed track, indoor testing space, office space, conference space and classroom space.
How is PennSTART funded?
The initial construction of PennSTART is funded through grants. After the initial construction is complete, PennSTART is anticipated to reach breakeven status.
How can I get involved with PennSTART?
There are a variety of ways to get involved by providing grants, renting out facility space, sponsoring programs, teaching a class, participating in a training program or attending a conference.
